Hi Stephen,

I wrote about a paper called "What is an analogue for the semantic web and why is having one important?" by mc schraefel from the university of Southampton.

http://scienceforseo.blogspot.com/2009/01/i-wont-adopt-semantic-web.html

There a lot of papers about this stuff going round at the moment. The main idea is that it's our fault for not making the semantic web easier to understand and we haven't provided any of the benefits to webmasters and users.
