I was asked to participate in a venture capital search for Searchme.com in April, but declined.

I compared Searchme against Google and the search algorithms that Searchme uses are terrible. You get inconsistent search results. As a consultant and strategist I was very critical of Searchme. You cannot continue to throw venture capital this company. Sequoia really made a mistake funding round after round on Searchme. I am afraid that they dragged a lot of other VC's and angels down with them. I really wanted to talk to Randy Adams, CEO, Searchme, but he failed to return any of my telephone calls or answer my emails. For a site that has been around for three years or so, you would think that they would have 1 billion unique visitors per month, big numbers like Google, but they don't. Read my blog and see what I have to say about Searchme's strategy
