one of the most aggravating things for an SEO firm is to try and rank a website that has terrible on-page optimization, or lack of. it's so much easier ranking a page that is seo-friendly from on page stuff than to try and rank a POS.

PookieWooKums,

I like your style. As an addled goose, I am happy posting to my free Web log and letting the Googles, Bing Kumos, and Yahoos index whatever they can find and figure out. I don't care about traffic. When you get to be 65, you have a different view of a high rank on a search engine. I don't care if folks read my stuff or not. If someone stumbles upon my addled goose comments, good for them. Keep providing that adult input to seniors and you may find that some of the old folks will give you a different view of youthful admonitions.

You know, YOU could be doing more to give search engines good content rather than SEO tricks if you used descriptive link text rather than making every link say "here".

Using non-descriptive and repetitive link text is also bad for accessibility as stated in WCAG 1.0.
