Sentiment Analysis: A Breakthrough

Short honk. I have some questions about the efficacy of search vendors who pitch sentiment analysis. The jargon blizzard obscures some of the methods. I talk about some of these hyperboles in my video about search jargon. The article “Turning the Frown Upside Down: Kraft’s Jell-O Plans Twitter Mood Monitor” explains one of the secrets of the sentiment analysis wizards. Big Data? Nah, counting smiley faces.
