Transparency Update: Googlers Run the Game Plan
July 13, 2008
You can watch and hear Eric Schmidt, Google, talk about Google’s future. This is another installment in the Google summer of transparency. My efforts to watch the video were unrewarded. Here’s the link. Let me know what Mr. Schmidt reveals. CNBC’s Web site is not goose-friendly when it comes to video.
However, there are several tiny nuggets about Google’s golden future. Julia Boorstein’s essay “Google’s Team Opens Up in Sun Valley” is here. Note that Ms. Boorstin writes for CNBC in text, which is goose friendly. Here are the points that resonated with me:
- No Microsoft Yahoo deal
- Google will pay companies like Viacom or take down their content
- Life is good
- Go green.
You can find other takes on the Sun Valley transparency initiative by clicking this link. Sun Valley is the site of the Allen & Company big wig retreat. No geese allowed. Geese in general and this good in particular can make a mess, asking questions and flapping. And the nuggets? A standard Google “run the game plan” approach delivered to the faithful.
